This bronze medal is by Maurice Delannoy. The obverse depicts the helmeted head of a warrior whilst the reverse has a wreath of oak and olive leaves around the rim with the centre engraved "Anciens E.S.C. Lille 1952 M Anselin"
The rim is stamped bronze and bears a triangular mark for Arthus Bertrand

Maurice Delannoy, (1885 – 1972)
French sculptor and engraver of coins and medals.
He studied at the Ecole Germain Pilon where he was a pupil of Charles Valton & Jules Edward Roine
He was an associate of and exhibited at the Society of French Artists and received a bronze medal in 1923 and a silver medal in 1926.
He designed coins for Morocco, Lebanon & Monaco and was made a Chevalier of the Legion d’Honneur in 1947 .
